YC Media Holdings, LLC
Privacy Policy
YC Media Holdings, LLC (“YC Media Holdings,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) acquires and operates businesses in the digital marketing, affiliate and healthcare sectors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit ycmediaholdings.com (the “Site”), contact us, or discuss a potential transaction with us.
1. Who we are
YC Media Holdings, LLC is a Delaware limited liability company based in New York, New York. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Businesses we acquire are generally held through separate subsidiaries owned by YC Media Holdings, LLC. Where we refer to “our affiliates,” we mean those subsidiaries and companies under common ownership with us.
This policy covers the Site and our acquisition-related communications. It does not cover the websites, products or services of businesses we own or may acquire. Those businesses have their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiry form. When you submit our confidential inquiry form, we collect your full name, business email address, company name, estimated annual revenue, the nature of your inquiry and your message.
- Communications. When you email, call or meet with us, we collect your contact details and the content of those communications.
- Transaction materials. If we discuss a potential acquisition, you may share business and financial information, such as financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, customer and contract data, and information about owners, employees and contractors. This may include personal information about you and other people.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our website platform and its service providers may automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
Information from other sources
We may receive information about you and your business from business brokers, online marketplaces for buying and selling businesses, referral partners, and publicly available sources such as business registries and professional networking sites.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
- evaluate, negotiate, finance and complete potential acquisitions, including due diligence;
- operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site;
- send you information about our acquisition activities where you have asked for it or where the law allows (you can opt out at any time);
- prevent fraud and protect our rights, property and safety and those of others; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Confidential deal information
We ask to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before any detailed financial discussion. Information exchanged during a potential transaction is used only to evaluate, finance and complete that transaction. If an NDA or other written agreement between us covers that information, the agreement controls where it conflicts with this policy.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers. Companies that host and operate the Site and our forms, provide email, customer-relationship and document-storage tools, or otherwise help us run our business. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisors and financing sources. Our lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, quality-of-earnings providers, lenders and prospective lenders, and board members or advisors, when needed to evaluate, finance or complete a transaction. We share deal information with them under duties of confidentiality.
- Affiliates. Our subsidiaries and companies under common ownership, for the purposes described in this policy.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction involving YC Media Holdings or its affiliates.
- Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, regulation or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect rights, property or safety.
- With your consent or at your direction.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. The Site and our website platform use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to load pages, keep the Site secure and process form submissions. They may also be used to understand how visitors use the Site.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the Site, such as the inquiry form, may not work properly. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, we do not currently respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. That includes keeping records of transactions and communications for legal, tax and accounting purposes and to resolve disputes. When a potential transaction does not proceed, we return or destroy confidential materials as required by any NDA, subject to legal retention requirements and routine backups.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send highly sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers or bank account credentials, through the Site’s inquiry form.

- Access, correction and deletion. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep some information where the law requires or allows it.
- State privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. We will honor those rights to the extent they apply to us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and evaluating and completing acquisitions; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Where we transfer personal information out of these regions, we use appropriate safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Health information
Please do not submit patient, medical or other health information through the Site. If we evaluate a healthcare business, any protected health information is handled only as permitted by applicable law, including HIPAA, and under appropriate written agreements.
12. Children
The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
